Presenter: Dr Sabitra Kaphle
Population Health Team Leader, PhD in Public Health, MPHC, MEd, BN
Dr Sabitra Kaphle has been trained as a nurse, academic and public health professional. Dr Kaphle completed a PhD in Public Health around the socio-cultural context of women during childbirth in low resource settings. Sabitra has worked in policy, research and practice for last 20 years in various sectors including UNICEF, Community Health and Universities in Nepal and Australia.
Most of her current work is in addressing the socio-cultural determinants of health in disadvantaged communities, with a specific focus on women’s empowerment and social equality. She is currently a Team Leader, Population Health at Dianella Health and also a board member of Women’s Health In the North.
