About

Now in its third year, the 2018 VicForum is once again being held in Melbourne during Victoria’s Cultural Diversity Week.

Entitled, Digital Humanity: Exploring our Ecosystem, the forum will focus on how Victoria’s diverse communities fit into our increasingly digital world.

Organised by Polaron, in partnership with the Commonwealth Bank of Australia and the Victorian Multicultural Commission, the aim of the forum is to discuss the multicultural landscape and opportunities in Victoria.

The exciting program features discussion panels, art installations, live incubator presentations and musical performances. It will cover three broad themes: Work, Life & Play and Death.

We believe in the exchange of ideas and have allowed plenty of time for questions, debates and experiential learning.

Whilst we won’t have all the answers, we will bravely attempt to ask many challenging questions.

How soon will AI be taking over your job? Will you be able to download intimiacy, friendships and human touch from the IoT? What happes to your digital music collection when you die?

This year’s forum will be held on 23 March from 9 am – 3 pm at the Commonwealth Bank of Australia in Docklands.
