Rita Wilson is Professor and Head of the School of Languages, Literatures, Cultures and Linguistics at Monash University (Melbourne). Her research combines an interest in translation theories with studies of contemporary translingual and transcultural writing. Most recently, her publications have focused on the relationship between translation, migration and the construction of cultural identities.
She is co-editor of the journal The Translator, a member of the Executive Council of the International Association for Translation and Intercultural Studies. She is also the Academic Co-Director of the Monash-Warwick Migration, Identity, Translation Research Network.
