Peter Lochert was appointed to the position of Secretary, Department of Parliamentary Services, Parliament of Victoria in April 2010, having occupied the position of Director, Organisation Development and Finance in DPS since April 2005.
As Secretary he is responsible for service provision to MPs, both Houses and Parliamentary Committees including finance, human resource and risk management; information technology; electorate offices, Security, Hansard, Library, Catering and maintenance of the Parliament House precinct. The position of Secretary also forms part of the Parliamentary Executive Group with a focus on strategic planning, governance structures and policy advice to the Presiding Officers.
Peter has held a range of senior executive positions in public and private sectors, and has extensive experience in resource management with particular strengths in Human Resources, Change Management, Information Technology and Finance.
Peter’s qualifications include a Bachelor of Science (Biology) and post-graduate qualifications in Business, Leadership and Management, and professional courses in Company Directorship.
